I have my debut in New York and worked for the Gagosian Gallery. I was in Los Angeles a few times, but I like New York better.

Depends on what you want. If you opt for a career in contemporary art, then the answer should be adjusted upwards. The gallery is mentioned, is a gallery of great prestige in the arts of New York "Chelsea"

However, if you are forever a professional photographer from New York interested / Los Angeles, very competitive, and you need to take more classes and learn the basics of business, and the camera before starting a career.

I do not think that really counts. You can in large cities such as Chicago, Toronto or Mexico City, the cities of juvenile hip as Portland, Montreal, Austin, Charlotte to start, and (possibly) of Pittsburgh, major business centers such as Seattle, Atlanta and Calgary, towns do not regularly pop when to with photography as a center of Topeka, Omaha, Winnipeg, Cincinnati, Raleigh and Salt Lake City, or deep traditional / conservative areas such as San Antonio, Mobile, and Tallahassee, but whatever. Even if you have the means to become a photographer and loves where he lives then whatever.
